Fritz Underground Winery

I and a group of 8 were doing a limousine wine tour. Our driver recommended we check out Fritz Underground Winery. When we came in to the winery we get scolded at by two of the staff members for not calling in to make an appointment first. We were then told to get out of the tasting room and to sit outside if we wanted to do a tasting (with an eye roll). I and my group felt really bad.

We were seated out at the picnic benches by the hillside where there was a great view of a lake below. A lady came out 10 minutes later and took us through the wines. Maybe it was the scolding but the wines were just ok to me. No one else came inside the tasting room so we didn't seem to be intruding in any appointments during our visit. We left with a sour bitter taste in our mouths due to the level of service we got.
I understand we were a big group and respect that some wineries require a fair notice of time to accommodate a group coming in. However I felt like some of the staff handled us the wrong way. As if we were naughty children who had mud and dung on our feet. We would of rather been told to kindly leave.

If you plan on going here be sure to call first!
