Seghesio Family Vineyards

During my Zin travels I had to make my way to Seghesio, as they have a reputation for delicious Zins. Besides having their fabled delicious Zins, they also have a awesome Sangiovese and a varietal I had not had before, Aglianico which was a good heavy red wine.
Seghesio has a long history of making wines, all the way back to the 1800s. The tasting room was very open and welcoming, with a great view of the expansive barrel room with large timbers and a rustic charm. One thing about this place is they have these wonderfully animal head wine top pourers. If you are a fan of Game of Thrones, they kind of looked like the Stag, Wolf, Eagle (and they also had a duck.) Kinda fun, something different.
